The Academy Of Cleaning

The Academy of Cleaning are training providers and auditing consultants for the cleaning sector.

We in Ireland are now living in a changed world. One where neglect of proper cleaning and hygiene practices are having serious health and legal consequences. It is now obvious that responsibility for proper cleaning and hygiene is moving up the command chain. This is where we can be of immense benefit to you.

The Academy of Cleaning should be of interest to professional cleaning companies and all employers who are anxious to provide a regime of cleaning that meets the standards of current Health and Safety Act requirements in the most economical way possible.

The Academy both consults and advises in a pro-active manner and will devise a training regime that is tailor made to your requirements. We will also train your staff to enable them to meet the agreed standard.

We will subsequently audit the cleaning to ensure that there has been no slippage from best practice.

As members of the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) we are licensed by them to teach and certify their training modules and have done so throughout Ireland since 1997.

The BICSc British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) was established in 1961 as the de-facto certifying body for the cleaning sector. It is the recognised industry leader in ‘best practices’ for cleaning operatives and their fully accredited certificates are recognised world-wide.

We have been involved in the training of British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) modules throughout Ireland for the last eleven years.

In February 2006 we moved to a purpose-built training facility at the above address on 42-43 Amiens Street. In addition to being easily accessible by all the normal modes of transport it has allowed us to give hands on tutoring in ‘clean room’ standard floor coverings and training for ‘latest hospital standard’ hand wash, bathroom & ward facilities.

We at The Academy Of Cleaning provide BICSc training for the companies of Ireland and also provide more specific 'in-house' training solutions to meet the demands of a growing sector with a particular emphasis on Hospital standards. A recent training development (S.M.A.R.T) caters to a specific demand for Risk Assessment within the workplace.

The training premises have custom-built facilities specifically designed to meet the growing demands of all sectors within the cleaning industry.

Sectors including Healthcare and Hi-tech industries require specific training and our training unit is built to a standard that includes 'clean-room' standard floor coverings and 'latest hospital standard' hand washing facilities. More recently, we have installed a full-scale set of operating theatre lights that will accommodate further in-depth training modules designed to cater to a growing demand for specialist cleaning of hospitals.
